Education done Wrong

Education done Wrong

How can a government continue to choke an educational system that’s already on life support? Year after year, classrooms are being deserted by high caliber educators because the system hijacked their passions. From lobbyists and politicians monetizing standardized tests, to highly ineffective school cultures to a volatile generation of students who are not properly parented; all of the above are correct choices in today’s common core world. There has been a brain drain from the classrooms over the past decade to the point where a high number of schools are functioning understaffed. Which means the the students and the United States will continue to struggle to compete against other nations. The caveat is substitutes no longer want to substitute! Educators are no longer inspired to change the world because they’re overworked and underpaid, not respected by stakeholders, buried under paperwork, and insecure about keeping a job. Does this sound like corporate America? Although the answer is a resounding YES, the fact of the matter is education is NOT a business. There is no sense of urgency for anyone to make this crisis a top priority. Teaching is a tough job to do and has to done by the right people. After all, it’s the only profession that shapes and molds every profession. Can you imagine a world without teachers? I can! It’s a world on the brink of imploding!
